They include Yvette Bouquet (painter), Steve Thomo (carver), Patrice Kaikilekofe (painter, carver, musician, Marie-Chanel Tamole (writer), Ela To’omaga Kaikilekofe (body adornment, sculpture) and Paula Gony Boi (painter). All works are for sale. The exhibition opens on Wednesday 4th March and runs until Saturday 28 March 2009 at the Okaioceanikart Gallery, Langham Hotel Mall, 65 Karangahape Rd, Auckland. The opening night will feature a discussion on the place of Kanak art in contemporary Pacific art, with live music and poetry readings.
