Pacific art critic and academic, Karen Stevenson, launched The Frangipani is Dead: Contemporary Pacific Art in New Zealand at the Salamander Gallery in Christchurch on October 15th. This book discusses the work of contemporary Pacific artists in New Zealand and will be an important resource for readers with an interest in Pacific arts. The book is published by Huia Publishers (Wellington).
